Higher education coaching: a group of colleagues joining hands in a circle

Coaching is an investment in building human capacity and maximizing potential.

Unlike consulting or therapy, professional coaching assumes that the client is whole, healthy, creative, adaptive, and has the expert knowledge needed to devise impactful and sustainable solutions to help them overcome their most pressing challenges.

In higher education coaching, I do not use a set of predetermined techniques or tell clients what to do. Coaches first establish trusted relationships and partner with their clients at eye level. Then, they guide them in co-creating solutions, gaining invaluable insights into themselves and others, and articulating actionable steps toward their stated goals.

Through active and compassionate listening, asking impactful questions, engaging in open and unbiased exploration rooted in positive psychology, and putting the client’s needs at the center of inquiry, I help clients move from what is to what could be, enabling them to manifest their vision of a better future.
